{LAB.01} Entropy

How long until the search space collapses.

This is a physics sheet, not a promise. Times assume an attacker who already has the hash, knows the charset, and guesses uniformly. Human patterns (names, years, qwerty) make real life faster — use Autopsy on the home bench for that.

SPECIMEN.A

By construction

Alphabet

Use this when you know the generator’s rules (the forge, a policy, a random string).

SPECIMEN.B

By observation

If this field has text, length and charset are read from it and the sliders are ignored.

Average time is half the search space. Worst case is the full space. PBKDF2 row matches this vault’s 310,000 iterations, order-of-magnitude.
